The Science Behind HPDS
The HPDS model in NeuroDecode™ is informed by the psychological research of Dr. Kazimierz Dąbrowski, creator of the Theory of Positive Disintegration. His work is widely cited in modern psychology for describing high emotional, intellectual and imaginative intensities — now recognised as overexcitabilities.
Dąbrowski’s work became one of the guiding principles behind NeuroDecode™. What mattered to me was the idea that heightened sensitivity, intensity and complex inner processing do not automatically mean that something needs to be fixed. They can also represent a different way of processing reality — one that may become an advantage when it is understood and given the right conditions to develop.
This became my north star while designing Neurodecode. Instead of asking how to suppress the mind, I started asking what kind of structure helps it work well.
NeuroDecode™ uses the HPDS framework to explain why some people process emotions and information more deeply than others. This model is informed by the psychological research of Dr. Kazimierz Dąbrowski.
What this means
HPDS does not claim new biology.
It combines well-documented mechanisms into a single model that explains why some people process:
more layers at once,
more signals per second,
more emotional + logical depth,
more pattern-level meaning.
This model helps high-processing individuals understand their architecture without pathologizing it.
